Discover the real stories of kindness in Cape Town. We connect generous hearts with trusted local partners so your support — time, money, food or goods — reaches seniors, youth, nurses and families who need it most.

Many people want to help communities in need — especially those hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic — but don’t always know where or how to give in a way that truly makes a difference.
That’s where Carers Unite NPO comes in. We provide impartial guidance, partner with vetted non-profit organisations, and ensure that your donation — whether money, time, food, or goods — reaches the people who need it most.
Carers Unite began as a deeply personal journey. I’ve always believed that making the world a better place requires more than good intentions — it requires action.
Like many people, I wanted to help but quickly discovered how difficult it can be. Organisations didn’t respond, volunteer roles were unavailable, and I felt discouraged. Through prayer and persistence, I kept going and began building relationships in the non-profit space in Cape Town.
I started where I was needed most — home-based caring, a senior support club in Mitchells Plain, tutoring children in foster care, supporting a safe house, and organising events for disadvantaged youth. One connection led to another, and before long, I realised there was a gap that needed filling.
In 2017, Carers Unite was born — a space where like-minded people could unite to do good, and where giving could happen in many forms.
Carers Unite is an advisory and support bureau that helps make giving simple, meaningful, and effective.
We collect money, food, goods and time donations and personally deliver them to specified non-profit organisations and communities in need.
We match people who want to give with organisations currently needing specific support — no more guessing or dead ends.
We partner with individuals with fundraising ideas and with NPOs to create awareness and run successful campaigns together.
We create meaningful moments — spending time with seniors, hosting events for disadvantaged youth, and spreading joy in hospitals and homes.
Real moments of impact made possible by generous people just like you.
Delivered 100 activity books and 100 bottles of water for a youth event, bringing joy, hope and a sense of being seen to young people in Cape Town.
After multiple COVID waves, brought journals and kind notes to exhausted nurses and staff: “You are special. What you’re doing is special.” Also supported patients at Tygerberg Hospice with visits and prayer.
Raising support to bless 500 seniors across Mitchells Plain, Douglas Murray Home and other clubs with Christmas packs, visits and moments of love and recognition.
